About Easterton

Welcome to Easterton, Wiltshire

Easterton Parish comprises the communities of Easterton Village, and the hamlets of Eastcott and Easterton Sands situated some 7 miles south of Devizes, between the nearby villages of Market Lavington and Urchfont.

The main road passing through the parish is the B3098. The Ridgeway, an ancient and famous track way, runs through the parish along the top of a scarp slope.

The centre of our village is a ribbon development of housing old and new in a valley running below the north west edge of Salisbury Plain in the centre of Wiltshire, UK characterised by the small brook running along the high street.

The Parish comprises approximately 454 Registered electors (2020). The surrounding fields are predominantly arable alongside a strong equestrian presence in many areas throughout the village.

Easterton is an archetypal English village with buildings dating from the 14th century onwards. Within the Parish there is St Barnabas Church, Public house; the Royal Oak (17th Century thatched building) Village Hall, Recreation Field, Children’s Play Area, Repair Garage and a Veterinary Practice with St Barnabas Primary School and pre-school bordering us at Market Lavington.
