RESUSCITATION and the use of DEFIBRILLATION UNIT.

The question is ‘What do you do in the event of anyone suffering a cardiac arrest in light of the present virus crisis. How do you help?’

The Answer: The Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) advice for managing community-based cardiac arrests, which, during COVID-19, puts a keen emphasis on continuing to provide early defibrillation and hands-only CPR with the additional advice of carrying-out visual airway checks only and placing a towel over the patient’s face for improved protection for the rescuer.
